Mapping Ōtākou

Exploring individual and shared relationships to landscape, visitors contributed directly to the clay drawing on the gallery walls and floor which mapped the Ōtākou harbour and the surrounding environs. Text including this project, by Dr Leoni Schmidt, Relational Drawing as Pedagogical Action: Locational Strategies, won the International Award for Excellence in the Area of the Arts in 2008 from The International Journal of the Arts in Society.
