These gardens were made for Horticultural Education and student and staff rest and recreation.
The site having limited grounds we removed a concrete pad, installing a Macrocarpa raised bed with capping for seating.
We converted existing corrugated iron planters into wicking beds (with a water reservoir and overflow at the base) to make them more resilient over the summer months.
Planters for dry herbs (Sage, Rosemary, Oregano, Thyme) were added, and tree rounds for informal seating. Bright colours were used to lift the area, and to compliment plantings.
